Client: Heritage Stoneworks.

Location/Site: Australian Museum, Sydney NSW.

Project: Refresh the façade in preparation for a relaunch.

Scope of Works: Let’s Clean was in charge of cleaning the College St façade of dirt, carbon stains, rust stains, and biological growth that had built up over the years. This was coupled with desalination to extend the life of the stonework. The College St side is highly visible to traffic and Hyde Park opposite.

Method: The primary means of cleaning was very low pressure water and the use of nylon brushes by hand, while the BlueVac Captive Head Washing System was used to extract salt from the masonry.

Outcome: A delicate touch leads to a rejuvenated surface that shines brightly to anyone who passes by the Australian Museum.
