BlueVac Captive Head Washing System

Engineered by Let’s Clean, the BlueVac Captive Head Washing System washes, rinses and vacuums surfaces in a single action, capturing dirty wash water as it cleans.

Through the use of interchangeable captive head hand tools (to suit different substrates and project needs) and the choice of a low or high pressure system, BlueVac is highly effective for a variety of cleaning applications as well as reducing salt content in masonry.

With its captive head technology, each hand tool releases a targeted water jet, while the flexible rubber shroud surrounding the head acts as a vacuum seal against your surface.

The rinsing action combined with the vacuum suction of the system creates a vacuum whirl that pressure cleans and removes residue from your substrate, capturing dirty wash water with minimal leaking and spraying.

Wash water is pulled into the waste-receiving tank as you clean for easy containment, analysis and disposal, making BlueVac ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

This same technology works for dissolving and drawing out salt from masonry - a desalination process pioneered by Let’s Clean.

Unlike the traditional desalination poultice method, the process is much quicker and results are instantly measurable: you can read the salt content of the captured water immediately with a portable conductivity meter.

The beauty of BlueVac is in its captive head technology. The flexible rubber shroud surrounding the captive head hand tool acts as a vacuum seal against your surface to recover waste water from pressure cleaning with minimal leaking and spraying.

Dirty wash water is pulled into the waste-receiving tank as you clean, minimising clean-up and waste disposal for your project.

With BlueVac there is no need to create a water capture zone when working around others or in a public setting (unlike traditional pressure cleaners).

The captive head captures the water. This makes BlueVac ideal for multi-trade work sites, public works and indoor areas.

BlueVac for Desalination

Crystallisation of salts is a major cause of damage to heritage and stone structures. BlueVac is proven to reduce the salt content in masonry to a depth of up to 150mm.

With the same captive head technology, a water wash dissolves and draws out salt from your surface while the captive head captures the waste - a desalination process pioneered by Let’s Clean.

Unlike the traditional desalination poultice method, the process is much quicker and results are instantly measurable - with no mess and no increase to the water load in the substrate.

With a portable conductivity meter, you can read the salt content of the captured water immediately and there is no obstruction to other works on the surface or work site.

Results are comparable, if not better, to a poultice application for desalination.

How BlueVac Works

Connection to a garden hose provides the water. Connection to a power outlet provides the power.

The captive head hand tool releases a targeted water jet, while the flexible rubber shroud surrounding the head acts as a vacuum seal against your surface.

Depending on your project needs and the surface to be cleaned, you can apply detergent (or your choice of cleaning chemical) to the substrate prior to using BlueVac for cleaning.

Simply apply with a paint roller, agitate if necessary then clean with BlueVac before the detergent dries out. There is no need to dilute your detergent as BlueVac will remove all of the residue as part of the cleaning process.

Low Pressure System

For cold wash, low pressure cleaning - and desalination of masonry. Features a 60L waste-receiving tank.

Available for purchase or hire.

  • With the low pressure system, your water source is provided by connecting a garden hose directly to the captive head hand tool.

The system’s 60L tank will accumulate waste water as you clean and require manual emptying once full.

You can drain the waste straight from the bottom of the tank or divert it elsewhere with a waste hose connection.

The system should provide a few hours of continuous use before the tank fills.

For hot or cold wash, high pressure cleaning - and desalination of masonry. Features a 60L waste-receiving tank that pumps out waste water as you clean.

Available for purchase or hire.

  • With the high pressure system, your water source is provided by connecting a garden hose to a pressure cleaner, and the pressure cleaner to your captive head hand tool.

(Note: if using the system for desalination or low pressure cleaning, simply leave the pressure cleaner turned off.)

For hot water washing, add one more element: connect a hot box to the pressure cleaner and then the hot box to your captive head hand tool.

The system’s 60L tank features an in-built pump that pumps out waste water as you clean, so you can continue working without interruption and having to manually empty the tank.

Dirty wash water is expelled via a waste hose to your chosen drainage point.
